As of this writing, there
are fewer than twenty Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors in New
York city. The advanced exam is not multiple choice. It is a written, hands on test requiring a
comprehensive understanding of QuickBooks, along with bookkeeping and accounting knowledge. The test requires downloading QuickBooks and Excel files; using advanced QuickBooks knowledge to solve problems; and takes roughly a full day of actual testing to complete. CPAs can typically make their way around QuickBooks and fix common
issues because of their deep accounting background, but Advanced
Certified ProAdvisors can do things with QuickBooks that most accounting professionals cannot simply because we receive both training and testing both online and in-person directly from the makers of QuickBooks. Working for a variety of clients, further increases the depth and breath of our QuickBooks experience.
Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors represent the highest level of training and experience. With a minimum of 3 consecutive years of certification training and an additional master level exam, there are fewer than twenty Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors in New York city. They often hold multiple Intuit (the makers of Quickbooks and Turbo Tax) certifications and are required to complete continuing education requirements.
